How to Find dl number by name and date of birth
If your driving license is lost and you want to recover it but have no proof of your DL, you can find your DL number using your name and date of birth. You can search for your DL number online without visiting any RTO office. Follow the steps below to find your DL number for free through the online website.
DL Number Search Process
Recently, the DL search option was removed from the Parivahan website but has now been reinstated with a new update. The process to search for your DL number has changed. You will need to provide your mobile number to receive an OTP, which you will use to verify your details. After verification, you can enter your name and date of birth to find your DL number. The mobile number does not need to be registered.
Driving licence number search by name 2024-25
- Step 1: Open the Parivahan Website.
- Step 2: Select “Online Services > Driving Licence Related Services“.
- Step 3: Choose your state from the “Select State Name” list.
- Step 4: Close the notification by clicking the cross button.
- Step 5: Click on the “Others > DL Search” button.
- Step 6: Enter your mobile number.
- Step 7: Fill in the captcha code shown in the image.
- Step 8: Click on the “Generate OTP” button.
- Step 9: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number.
- Step 10: Enter the name as it appears on the driving license.
- Step 11: Enter the date of birth as provided in the documents during the DL application and click on submit button.
- Step 12: Review the DL search results. Confirm your details and find your DL number listed next to your correct applicant name, father/husband’s name, and date of birth.
- Step 13: If you see “No Search Results Found“, it means the name and date of birth entered do not match any DL in the database.
You can search for your DL number for free on the Parivahan website. Additionally, you can download the DL PDF from the DigiLocker website using your DL number and print it out.
